1st Flagship History

Global began in 1964 as a joint venture of OWL International, Inc. and Atlas Corporation. Our initial contract was the operation and maintenance of the U. S. Army Kwajalein Missile Range, a contract that was retained for more than 25 years. Business with the Department of Defense expanded with a number of contract awards in the ensuing years.

In 1989, Global was awarded the Emergency Ship Salvage Material (ESSM) Maintenance contract. During this same year Global experienced continued growth and diversification of services to all branches of the U. S. Armed Forces.

In 1991 Global won the first Regional Training Sites-Medical (RTS-Med) Contract awarded by the U. S. Army forces command. The contract initiated training as a Global strength and led to the expansion into The Department of Labor Job Corps Center (JCC) operation in 1993. Global then flourished in the education and training arena.

In 2005, 1st Flagship, Inc. acquired Global making it a 100% woman-owned small business with the primary objective of service contracting with U. S. Government Agencies, as well as the private sector.
